Welcome to the Transnational Administrative Law Network !

This website presents our Network, activities, members and the publications of our network members in relation to the topic of Transnational Administrative Law.

The Transnational Administrative Law Network (Réseau du Droit Administratif Transnational) is a bilingual (French/English) international research network.

For a number of years, it has been fostering academic activities investigating the legal issues arising from so-called “transnational administrative situations”, i.e. administrative situations where two or more legal systems interact with each other. These situations have strongly increased quantitatively over the last fifty years as a consequence of the increasing circulation of people, goods, services and capitals across jurisdictions all over the world. These situations also have become extremely complex and challenging for the individuals faced with the issues arising from these transnational administrative situations.

The solutions developed to address these issues deserve a systematic attention from lawyers. This network seeks to map these transnational issues and the responses administrative law has been developing.

The network brings together colleagues interested in transnational administrative law from various jurisdictions in Europe and beyond. If you want to know more about the network or would like to become a network member, please do contact Professor Mariolina Eliantono (Maastricht) or any other members of our steering committee. They would be delighted to provide more information about ways to become involved. Alternatively, join our mailing list here.

Our foundational charter was presented during our meeting held on 20th and 21st April 2018 in Barcelona at Pompeu Fabra University. It can be downloaded here.
